Vacation...But Not Really

As most of you know my hubby is from the Natural State...I think they shouldve called it the Confusion State because I am lost every time we go. We are packing up and heading that way in July and I would love to book some appointments while I am there. Vacation, smacation.

First stop will be Mabelvale and then on to Heber Springs. My oldest daughter and I are determined to hike up Pinnacle Mountain while there so you may start prayer now...its been a while since I have hiked and Christmas dinner is still lingering around the waistline!

I am not from that area so any suggestions on locations I am open to. I do know of boat ramp in Heber Springs that is awesome I would love to do some sunset pictures at if anyone is interested in it. I cant tell you how to get there until I am there though! Sad I know but I can get you there.

Photography 101

Album Archive Sale

2010 is coming to an end and 2011 will kick in full gear.

With the new year coming I am organizing and I definitely have a lot of archiving to do to get ready. I want to offer something special to my 2010 clients and only them.

Now until January 5, 2011 you can purchase a 10x10 album and low resolution disk of all of your images at a special combination price of $135! That is $100 off the regular price of these two items combined.

Albums can be designed several different ways, customized espcially for your session. These hard cover books are a great way to display all of your portraits from your session on your coffee table and not have to worry about wallspace. The unique binding system allows every page spread to lay flat without any gutter or unsightly seam to separate your pages. This system combines beautiful presentation with incredible durability. The special combination price is for 14 side albums.

2011 Price Structure

Please note effective Jan 1, 2011 I will no longer offer high-res DVD's. Low-res Cd's are and will still be available at $200. This low-res cd is a copy of all of your edited images from your session and is perfect for record keeping.

Purchasing the low-res Cd also includes a print release which I strongly caution using. The low-res Cd is perfect for high volume printing that would normally not be cost effective for your budget but mass production labs in our area are not the best at what they do. I do suggest that any prints you need let me purchase for you through a reputable lab that takes the time and care your prints deserve.

Please also note that my 8x10's are increasing by $1 and the 11x14's are increasing by $2. There is also a slight increase on the print packages which you can note on the Your Investment page. I want to continue to offer the affordable but high quality prints and products for my clients.

I also want to humbly thank each and every one of you for asking me to document your lives as they change. I am so enjoying becoming a part of your engagements, your family, your first time parent experience, your wedding and all of our important moments in your lives. I find it truly an honor to be a part of it. I hope you all enjoy the ride as much as I do.

TONS of people send me private messages, emails or just ask in person what is a good point and shoot camera to buy. I have always directed them to canon because that is what I know. I know squat about Nikon or any other brand camera. Kevin Kubota a photographer I follow ,for obvious reasons, suggested this camera and oh my goodness, I am so adding it to my wish list!


The Samsung TL500 is just a little over $400 which is under the $500 range most of my peeps are asking for. I so need a travel camera and I think I may do some shopping! Maybe I could throw that Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L in the cart too.

Halloween Charity Food Bank Bash

Why did the skeleton go disco dancing? To see the boogy man!

Mummies, bring in a food bank item in exchange for a complimentary 4x6 of your little ghoul.

Dress your little witch or ghost up in their Halloween costume and make sure they are in character. I have a custom halloween backdrop that is sure to frighten! (Not really but it sounded Halloweenish) My entire studio will be decorated and I will be in character too! And yes ghosts, there will be candy!

Please limit one 4x6 per family. Food bank items will be donated locally to the Milan and Humboldt area depending on amount of items.

Eye Candy Tour

I have had so many ladies say "I would so love to have a boudoir session done but I live so far away." so I am packing up camp and coming to your city on request! First tour booking now in Little Rock, Arkansas! This stop is currently booked for the first weekend in September.

This is a tour you don't want to miss! The boudoir sessions in itself are a blast! Not sure if it is for you? Read what women are saying here. These are tasteful and romantic boudoir sessions done in a private hotel room setting. Editing, little black books, and a signature jewelry piece custom made exclusively for the ladies is included with the tour package.

Booking must include at least 4 sessions. If you want the tour to stop in your town and you can sign up 6 ladies your session, little black book and jewelry is complimentary. Live Birth Photography

I would love to become a live birth photographer. I know there are all hours of the night you work and have to be held down but I think it is something I would absolutely love! I don't think it is wise to schedule a birth and a wedding within the same month so here are the months I have available June, July, August, September and November. That is 5 births for the rest of this year. December is iffy since we have a trip booked during the week of Christmas. Since this is a new area to me and I want to squeeze in the room with the rest of your family for an intimate moment I will do these 5 sessions at a discount to hopefully become this area's birth photographer.

I want to be able to show the emotion of this beautiful experience to you. Here is one of my inspirations The Birth Experience and make sure you go to the slideshows and oh yeah have some tissue ready cause your gonna sqawl!
